What is Threads
Threads is a standalone app created by Instagram that focuses on sharing photos and messages with a close group of friends. It is different from Twitter in that it is more private and exclusive, with a focus on sharing content with a select group of followers rather than with the entire internet.
Threads offers features such as automatic status updates and customizable themes that are not available on Twitter.
To get a Threads account, you need to already be an Instagram user with an active account. Once you download the app, and you login with your Instagram account Threads will setup an account with your Instagram username.
What are the benefits of using Threads?
Threads can be a useful tool for social promotion in a few ways. The app's focus on privacy and control over who sees your content can be beneficial for businesses or influencers who want to share exclusive content with their close followers.
By creating a close friends list, businesses can share promotions, sneak peeks, and exclusive content with their most loyal followers, building a stronger relationship with them.

No direct message feature
Users cannot currently sending Direct Messages to other users in Threads as the app doesn't include direct messaging features, but that doesn't mean they won't be introduced in the future. Communicating with other users directly can be done via Instagram.
As with any social media platform, the decision to join Threads depends on your specific goals and audience. If you have a close group of followers and want to share exclusive content with them, Threads can be a useful tool.

No Auto-posting feature between WordPress and Threads
The Instagram Graph API allows developers to access Instagram Business Accounts and their associated data. This includes access to Threads features such as close friends lists and automatic status updates. However, it is important to note that access to the Instagram Graph API is limited and requires approval from Instagram. Additionally, there is currently no known auto-posting function between WordPress and Threads.
